can't compile the sb16 AWE module

Now, when I compile ALSA with sound driver sb16 AWE, modprobe says the module does not exist. A search prooves that it doesn't exist. Why isn't that module installing the way it's supposed to. Can I get around this?

oh yeah one more thing

I get two different kinds of error messages now . If I type in a random word with modprobe I get the standard, "Module _____ not found." If I type in modprobe snd-sb16 I get "FATAL: Error inserting snd_sb16 (/lib/modules/2.6.9/kernel/sound/isa/sb/snd-sb16.ko): No such device" ????? Thanks everyone.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssss!!!!!!!

I got it to work! Hahaha. It turns out the drivers is an emu10k1x driver. All I needed to do was run alsaconfig and then boom! There maybe other things going on but at least I got it working.
