Hello everybody.

I am using suse linux version 11.0. I have configured my network manually.sometime it works well but most of the time i am not been able to browse the internet. Whenever i try to visit a webpage it says page load error. But i can browse the wepage very well in windows xp and ubantu where the network configurations are the same.is there anyway to get rid of this problem ? Thanks in advance.

If you using a router make sure you got your router ip configured with subnet mask and your default gateway. After you have done that then all you need to do is add your Name servers. In CentOS and Redhat its in /etc/resolv.conf. It may be there for you too.

Contact your ISP for your host name servers

run "ifconfig" without " and paste it. Also do you have the KDE or Gnome installed?

Also this is a tutorial with the GUI configure your Network
