Have you "shared" the connection in win7?

Have you setup a gateway in CentOS to point to win7 machine ip?

That should be all! I do this all the time. Create connection in windows, share connection with all users, in network setup of linux set the gateway to ip address of windows machine. That should work!

I guess your reference to win7 is just to let us know that the network hardware is ok.

Have you read and followed the networking documentation on the centos site?

http://www.centos.org/docs/5/html/De...rk-config.html

Why do not provide more information about your setup? Multi-boot means? Dual boot like windows and CentOS on the same machine? Or on different machines on network? What kind of internet?

Ok, then please be specific. The more information you can give the better the chance that someone will be able to help you. For example:

Are you using wired or wireless? If wireless are you using encryption: if so what type?

What is the hardware: ie output of lspci?

Are you using static or dhcp? What is the ouput of "ifconfig eth0" (assuming eth0 is the device)? And "iwconfig eth0" if wireless.

What version of centos are you using?

Cheers,

Evo2.

Ok but you did not answer all my questions. What type of internet? Broadband internet using adsl router modem? Wired or wireless router? How do you connect in windows? Do you use dial up connection? Or is it always on connection?
