Angry Configuring Fetchmail

I am trying to set up one of my Linux box's as a mail server, Fetchmail works fine delivering mail on the local PC but i can't get my email client on the other Linux PCs to receive mail from the server.
On the server i have set up .fetchmailrc with the names of all my user accounts and the account details on my email client (Mozilla Thunderbird) has the IP address of the server, the port is set to 25 (is this right?)
When i try and receive mail i get
"An error occured with the POP3 mail server. Mail server responded:"

Whats going wrong? I just wanna receive emails godammit!

The mail fetchmail gets is located in the local mail.

Perhaps you need to configure either procmail or your mail client to check there for the mail.

# Common e-mail tools
sendmail - postfix - sends mail to local users (and internet when configured correctly)
fetchmail - gets mail from internet accounts (non-Hotmail type)
procmail - sorts and delivers into separate mailboxes
mutt - mail client that sucks less than all the others

SquirrelMail web mail
Why use Hotmail when there is LinuxMail?
