Unhappy configuring dsl on fedora

Hello

I installed fedora 1 lately , everything went smooth , no problems...
i came to configure dsl from the internet wizard , i'm using pppo connection
everything is fine ,password , username ...etc save , activate connection..
says it's active ..... but when oppening browser , nothing happened !! no connection ..restarting pc , says pppo config not found or file doesn't exist ,or ./ifug not found.......
something like that ..i tried many times but no hope ..

can anyone help finding out the problem

thank you

What I had to do was start by delete and start the config from a clean slate,PPPoe over Ethernet, then configure network card, then use static dummy address like 192.168.22.1 and in subnet enter 255.255.255.0,for stand along don't put anything in gateway.david

Hi,

I experienced exactly the same symptoms. (i.e everything appears to work apart from DNS). I ran /sbin/adsl-setup and followed the instructions. Then using SystemTools->Network Device Control I edited the configuration it had setup (ppp0) to use my login and password. This seems to work so far...

I use SBCYahoo with a speedstream modem & DLink ethernet card.

Regards
