Configuring a SMTP relay server

Hello! I am quite new to linux world.

I ran a Slackware server.

I'd like to set up, on it, a server that can act as relay but just for a finite set of email addresses. Plus.. I'd like it to be reached from the outside (not just from localhost).

I've no problems with firewall (everything is set up fine) so I just have to configure an SMTP selective relay server. I guess I can do it with sendmail... however it seems pretty hard (for me at least) to setup.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance!

I suggest you use postfix instead of sendmail. It is much nicer to configure and more secure in the same time.
