configure specific port range

I am newbie to Linux using RHEL 6.2 version.

My application is using port range from 11000 to 11100.

Only some of the ports between this range are available but I want range from 11000 to 11100 should be opened.

So that, I want help from any body about how to configure the specified port range into iptable.

I did some change in tables using below command :

1. #iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --destination-port 6881:6999 -j ACCEPT

2. #service iptables save

3. #service iptables restart

but after restarting the iptables this entry is not reflected into iptables.

Please help me.

Thanks
