configure modem
 

I have a fresh installation of Fedora Core 1.0. I'm trying to configure my modem by using the Internet Wizard. At the end of the procedure I get the following message:

error set MRU value to <n> for negotiations
see pppd(8) for more options.

Any suggestions?

what kind modem are u using and was your modem working? did you install the driver for your modem?

consider buying an external serial modem.
I know thats not what you asked, but it will solve your problem forever, regardless of distro.

well, then i would suggest you buy an Cendyne modem free after rebate which have conexant chipset and it's model # was CDIMM00130 from local store like Best Buy or Office Max. can't remember.
