Configure mobile broardband with linux mint 6. (telstra/zte, model mf626)
 
Can somebody please help me configure the mobile broardband (model in title)
Tell me what outputs you need from the terminal. thanks.

What's the output of lsusb after you have plugged it in and waited 10S ? This'll tell us what the device really is (the likely chipset).

Some of these devices show up as being a CD-ROM when first plugged in. This "CD-ROM" has the windows drivers (useless for linux). You need to switch it using usb_modeswitch before it will show up as /dev/ttyUSB0 or similar.

Once /dev/ttyUSB0 shows up, you can use the device with wvdial See man wvdial and man wvdial.conf (or just search LQ)
