please stay current and install Fedora 18

Quote:

I have tried to configure GRUB starting Windows by default
windows can not and never will be able to read NON-Microsoft partition formats
you can not use it to edit the ext3 fedora /boot partition
windows can not read the files

on a different computer download the fedora 18 iso ad burn it to dvd
or

use the fedora 16 dvd to reinstall grub on this machine
see the fedora install docs
-- for the unsupported fedora 16 ---
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/...ide/index.html

the section for reinstalling grub
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/...all-bootloader

then install fedora 18
