./configure --enable-debug ?

I've configure an application with debug mode with :
./configure --enable-debug, inorder to report a bug.
when I do : make, it always return error,
(when I install it without debug mode,all thing go well)
can I configure it directelly with debug mode?

When you run ./configure --enable-debug does it finish fine? And what is the error that is returned when you run Make?

thank's, I've uninstalled it and retry ./configure --enable-debug, it work fine!
