comtia linux+ certification


Hi, guys
Am about to go for Comptia linux+ certification. I was told its advisable to do linux when you have done Oracle. Is this true? How do you find comptia linux+?

It all depends on the kind of work you are upto. If you are into dba on Linux, yes knowing linux is must. But just because you have oracle certification you do not need Linux certification.

yes am into dba job. I have Oracle OCP certification. What you say i dont need linux. Do you think i can survive with my IT Adv. Diploma and OCP?

Am doing linux coz what i know is that most DATABASES of oracle use linux.Currently am not working as a DBA.

Knowing Linux is a must if you manage database servers running Linux. But you definitely can survive without certifications. OCP is more than sufficient for career prospects. I manage Linux and windows servers and do have certifications for both. I do have RHCT but I do not call it certification.
