Question compiz problem


hi fiends..
i installed compiz fusion today...
in the taskbar i have enabled
system->preference->advanced desktop effect settings
i have enabled desktop cube and rotate cube..
but when i press ctrl+alt+down arrow the cube does not appear..
and when i do ctrl+alt+drag mouse instead of rotation of the cube...my desktop rotates in a plane surface(not as cube)
how can i fix this problem??

is the "workspace on a cube" checkbox checked?

located at the enable desktop effect window, have you enabled desktop effect? i think what you did was set the settings for it but not enabled it.

there is no enable desktop effect window...

Is compiz even installed? try a 'yum install compiz' in command line. If it is already installed it will tell you, if not, it will go ahead and do it for you. Then try enabling it again.

i gues that should be
sudo apt-get compiz

ok i will reinstall it...

yep! and make sure that you have installed the driver for you vidieo card
