Code:
g++ helloworld.cpp -o hello
./hello
whereas I seen OP say he did just
Code:
hello
and not
./hello

I have given the steps to create my problem and tried to give
enough information for a solution. I did not want to cause any grief.
I do not know anything else to do to help you with my problem. I am
going to mark as SOLVED. Thanks for all your time. It doesn't look
like a solution is going to be an easy one. I will deal with it myself.
Thanks!

Just to be clear, this does not appear to be a problem with the compiler, but instead a problem with your configuration or setup.

This is based on the tidbits of information which have been provided.

Sorry you may not follow get or understand, the suggestions about how to diagnose the problem.

Many of us have asked reasonable questions about what you are doing and made suggestions towards how to diagnose this.

If there are questions as to how to follow up with any of the diagnosis or questions, please feel free to elaborate.
