compiling on knoppix
 

Ive been playing around with knoppix and im trying to compile tcl/tk and amsn.
can it be done on a live cd?
I do it from root and all.

Once compiled where are you going to install it? You could use a usb thumb drive but then you will have to setup links and library paths etc... It doesn't sound like the benefits would be worth it to me.

yeah thats what i figured too, Im just gonna install a full LInux distro. Thx for the reply

just use the old knx-hdinstall script as root to install knoppix to your harddrive. knoppix pretty much is a full distro what you dont have you can apt-get
