Compiling device-3dfx

When I attempt to run "make" to create the device3dfx kernel module, I get a message about "boot_cpu_data_R0657d037 undeclared", and it refers to this multiple times. I am not sure what this means. Any help appreciated. Thanks for putting up with newbies.
