compiling c program in linux os

or
read the documentation for your operating system

if you're the author of the file.c then just gcc -o <name of binary you want> file.c -l<any libraries you need to include>

if you don't need any libraries just don't use the -l/-L flag

have you already compiled anything on any (other) OS? Do you know for example MS Visual Studio?
