Compiling a package from source.. (Kopete specifically)

K.. no build for Mandrake of the latest Kopete on their site.. so, newb that I am, Im gonna go try and make one.

I've downloaded the source from their site and un-ark'd it into a DIR.. have searched google for the hope of a how-to around but must not be getting the search wording right..

1 - anyone have a page with how-to build instructions just in general?

2 - or can you just tell me what Im to do in this instance?

thanks all..

Heh.. geez I dont need anyone else to answer.. I just need to post a question here and then trip over the answer myself a minute later.

For any other newbies in the same situation, check out the handy dandy article right here on this very site..

.. cake "duh, wonder what the answers tab up there is" man
