compile windows binaries on Linux?


How can I do this?
I know it can be done (e.g. videolan.org), but how?
Perhaps: ./configure --target=win32 ?

I not want to compile windows binaries on windows with a linux tools!
I'd like to compile windows programs on a linux box/host.

It is for linux. Read through the documentation for more info.

Ok.
Beside Mingw and cygwin, how can I run confgure and make with other compilers (e.g.: Borland free make.exe)?
