Hi,
Is there a tutorial somewhere that would help me out of the newbie fog as regards installing the likes of libusb (libusb.sourceforge.net) and then compiling and installing the K8055 package at libk8055.sourceforge.net ?
I get errors such as 'gcc command not found' when I attempt the steps listed at the k8055 site. I have a profound sense that I don't know what I am doing when I look at the libsub files and need some sage guidance from someone.
I am attempting to install on SuSE 10.3 btw but would eventually like to be able to install same, if possible, on a DSL (
http://damnsmalllinux.org/) box I have running. The DSL box seems to be lacking memory to run the compiler gcc ETAL but I am hoping to be able to compile on the SuSE box and then move the executables over to the DSL box. Am I being naive here? If so, blame Bill Gates.
All assistance greatly appreciated.
Thanks and best regards,
Brian H.
