compatible wlan cards/usb adapters in rh9

I am new user of Red Hat Linux 9 (linux kernel 2.4.20-8)
I want to use either a PCI based wireless card or a wireless USB adapter so that my computer can communicate with the router. (router is connected to a DSL modem). Currently there is a ethernet based wired connection between my computer and the router and the connection works.

which 802.11G wireless card will work with RH9, do I need to get drivers? are they available as binaries. do i need to compile drivers/kernel?

eventually I want to use apache, php, mysql/oracle to host my dynamic website. (my machine is P4 1.6GHz, 512 MB, 40+120 GB hard disk)
Is the machine suffcient for a moderately active webserver. How much load can it handle? I am trying to figure out if I have to go to a hosting service or not.

Is apache 2.0.49, php4.3.7 a good/stable combination.

I would very much appreciate any help this forum can offer.

ana....

If you haven't already, check the Linux HCL (right side of this page, under Main Menu).
Some feedback from wireless cards is here:

Looks like Dlink is a no-no. Not sure about SMC. Netgear MA311 looks promising (see 01/04/2004 post).
