Compatible Sound Cards

Ok here's the deal. I had a crappy sound card that came with my machine here (in like 1999) anyway I've been upgrading it with my vast and new found computer genius and I even spread into linux. But since the card I had, "Rockwell Camellion Combo card", was invisible to linux I had to toss it and bought a cheap Sound Blaster card. This was perfect for linux, but of course Windows hated it. So since I still need my Windows partition (for now) I have to get yet another sound card (and don't try and give me help there I've fought to hell with this thing Windows just wont accept it).

So my question is where can I find a CHEAP Stereo sound card (I don't have any of those fancy 5.1 speakers) that will be compatible with both Linux and Windows XP?

PS. I was looking at the AOpen Cobra AW840 but I can't find anything conclusive on compatibility.

I use a Creative Soudblaster Live 5.1 sound card which works fine on Linux (used to on Windows as well) without the 5.1 features. Maybe you need to take a look at HCL pages on this website.
