Compatibility between rhel7 and rhel5 for a C ++ project

regards!! I would like to know if someone has developed a C ++ project on rhel7 that is compatible with rhel5 as well. The production environment is old and the client needs the app to be deployed in both systems. Thank you!

Hi tabris2015, and welcome.

LQ uses English only. Could you please translate your question into English and change the title accordingly? Many thanks.

Welcome to LQ, tabris2015:

I've edited your post and the thread title using a translate tool. If the result is incompatible with your wishes, pleased edit your post to correct. As cited by hydrurga, this is an English only forum, as noted in the LQ Rules and Guidelines.

C++ projects "can" be compatible with different versions of a distribution, as well as other distributions.

Are you asking this because you need to compile an application? Or because you need to construct an application in C++ and wish to make it backward compatible. If that second option, I'd suggest constructing and compiling the application on the older system first, and then getting it to compile on the newer system.
