Comparing tiling window managers, which one to choose?

Hi to all,

What are the differences and similarities between all the different tiling window managers such as ratpoison, wmii, dmw, twm, i3, scrotwm, xmonad, etc? What would be the advantages and disadvantages of using one over the other. Which is your favorite and why?

Thank you

I don't use a tiling window manager, but one of the guys in my LUG, an accomplished coder and Linux user, likes i3. http://i3wm.org/

I know some Awesome users who love Awesome.

What criteria did YOU pick in the comparison, how many have you
tested, which features of which of those WMs did you like best,
what were the biggest problems with each?

Cheers,
Tink
