I don't have any experience with Asterix myself but a little search comes up with the following: AsteriskOnUbuntu

It does have a link that points to Asterix on Ubuntu 9.10, but that seems to be outdated (Ubuntu Jaunty/9.10 is rather old).

Anyway, hope this helps.
