Commands to remove particular few lines in the history file

Is there any commands or scripts to remove only selected line in the history file.Please guide me in this issue

Entries in history are coming from history file in your home directory. Depending on a shell you use they may have different names with "history" word in a name. Do "ls -la" in your home directory and see it. You can open this file with "vi" and edit it as regular text file. Get "Linux for dummies" book or "Learn Linux" dvds by UNIX Academy it all explained there...
