commands in terminal, password problem
 

Have upgraded ubuntu to 13.10 and want to install flash, but when I try to put in my password when asked, I only get a white curser and cannot type it in. Any help much appreciated, want to switch whole PC to linux OS a.s.a.p., hopefully still this year, but have to get it working for Windows clients.

Passwords are not echoed to the terminal nor any * for security reasons. You just type in the blind...

type in blind ?
