commands in mandrake 9
er...
i've just installed mandrake9 to try a different flavour of linux... when i try hdparm or Xconfigurator as either user or root i get "command not found" why is this happening? sorry if its a simple answer |
commands in mandrake 9
Is it installed, run rpm -q hdparm
If you can't find it on one of your install CDs, you can go here to download http://rpmfind.net |
if they are installled it could be something about the path... though i doubt it
|
ok
i ran rpm -q hdparm and it reported it as not installed, the same for Xconfigurator. hdparm installed perfectly, just off to get Xconfigurator. many thanks |
I couldn't find them either... perhaps they are using a different program to do that. try downloading from rpmfind.net and intalling it...
