Command to find workstation IP address
 
Can someone please provide the command or procedure to find the IP for a workstation.

If you're talking about the address of your local machine you can try /sbin/ifconfig and look for the "inet addr" entry. For remote machines, host or ping will do.

If you know what interface it is use
ifconfig interface
For example
ifconfig eth0
If you don't know, use
ifconfig
All interfaces will be listed.
