command redhat-config-packages --tree=/mnt/cdrom no more on RHEL5, what replace it?
Hi, the RHEL version 3, can use the command redhat-config-packages --tree=/mnt/cdrom to lets me add and remove the packages from GUI, but now the RHEL version 5(RHEL5) no this command, than i use the command system-config-packages is ok, but cannot point the installation files directory to /media/cdrom, my purpose is during install this RHEL5, i forgot to install some important packages, than i am using DVD to install, so i want can point to that DVD to select any packages available on this DVD to let's me add&remove the packages like what i did last time in RHEL3, in this new version RHEL5, i just know how to use the remote repositor to add & remove with yum.
my purpose is use cd/dvd to remove & add packages.
hi, yes since rhel4 are replace redhat-config-packages to system-config-packages, my purpose is only want to use RHEL5 dvd/cd to remove & add packages. I already try to configure on /etc/yum.repos.d , i create a file in this directory, than add a line: baseurl=file:///media/cdrom/Server , and second line is enabled=1. Is ok, i can using pirut go to browse my all packages, but when i start add & remove a packages, than having a error....am i wrongly edit the file in /etc/yum.repos.d/*.repo
