Command Line IP Configuration in Linux Distros and MAC OS
 
As a Newbie I want to know How to Configure IP Address in All Linux and MAC OS Systems by Command Line Interface......please help.......Thanks to all in advance......

Hi,

You did look at the references that were provided. LQ is not a support help desk. Rute Tutorial & Exposition & Linux Home Networking
are two references that I suggest that you look at to learn what you are asking about. Plus my sig contains more good reference that can be used to help yourself learn to operate at the command line. Plus LQ Search will provide several references for cli IP configuration.

You may configure all Linux and all Mac OS in same way (ifconfig) for one off, but changes will be lost after reboot.

To store permanentely ip config, there is not a common solution that works for all
