command line / hardware question
I just threw some ram in to an older server, i found the ram on a motherboard i had hidden away somewhere. Well i installed it and then booted up the box and its up cause the web server is running. I dont have a monitor or anything connected to it just a cat5 and a powercord so i need a command line way to check and see if it has the full amount of ram it should. I use SSH to log in to it so being logged in as root is no problem.

Thank you Very Much :)
I looked in to the cat command but couldnt find a list of options or anything, only thing i tried was cat /proc/*

/proc/meminfo isn't an option to cat, it's a file in the /proc filesystem. The /proc filesystem is basically a window into the kernel. You could also use the free command, which will give a nice summary but less detail.
