Comfusion hangs on install
Hello all, my first post here.
Here is my problem. I tried to install Comfusion on my new-to-me old Compaq Presario 2175US laptop. I had the laptop plugged in for about 15 minutes before the install, when I had entered my info for root user, and it started doing the install, I accidentally knocked the power adapter plug out and the battery drain halted my install(I was AFK as the laptop is pretty old and I needed some coffee). I tried to reinstall, but I got a lot of error codes coming after I tried to go to install from the boot menu again. I just installed a new hard drive, before the first install try, so there is no data to lose if I do a fresh install again. But I keep getting the error codes showing. How can I remove the old corrupt install, and redo my install. Thank you for your time. Edit: I did check the cd for errors and found none. |
During the installation script ... if you get to the partitioning phase ... delete all the partions.
If you continue to have errors please post the details on them. |
I made a work around thanks to a old friend who told me to try another distro and do a repartition. So I burned a ubuntu 7.10 iso, and booted off the live cd and installed that. I now have it working. Thanks.
