Color problem with the program lnav (log file navigator)

I have installed lnav (log file navigator) to see if the program has any use for me, but I haven't come very far using it.

The colors are simply awful. A dark blue on a black background makes the whole output unreadable.

How to change the colors in the program lnav?

(I am using Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS (Ubuntu Xenial)).

what does lnav documentation have to say about it?
have you tried changing your terminal color scheme?
