Closing applications to the system tray

How can I get applications to close to the system tray instead of closing completely, or is this a setting in the program itself~
It works good with kopete. How can I get it to work with Limewire and some other items~

well...as far as I know, it's a per-app-thing, meaning that some apps do it and some don't kopete does, as you noticed, but limewire (I guess) doesn't. you may find a setting in the program that enables this, but if the app doesn't do it, you can't force it into the taskbar I guess
