Clonezilla not working?

I have used Clonezilla many times with no issues.

I have one computer (custom Gigabyte motherboard) that will not do anything after the first initial boot up screen. I receive an error messages stating, "mount failed". I did read somewhere on the internet that having RAID configured sometimes messing things up. I do have a RAID 1 on 2 drives (data drives not the OS drive).

Please attached error message

Finsfree,

As Clonezilla boots up press Tab and add nodmraid to the existing boot parameters (in white at bottom).

Finsfree,

Screenshot attached. The text is in white, not yellow as I stated originally.

At the end of the last line ending with fbdev=1 press the spacebar and type nodmraid

Then select Clonezilla Live Default Settings etc.

I guess my issue is how you are able to get the "white" text up there. I'm pressing Tab during bootup but I never get to that screen that you are showing me.

I'm using the latest Clonezilla-live-2.6.4-10-amd64bit.

Never mind I got it. In the latest version of Clonezilla just type "e" at the home screen to edit. Then you can add the "nodmraid" command in there and press F10 to boot.

Thanks for your help. I have some screenshots below.

Just curious, what version of Clonezilla did you have?

Weird...okay...

I've held the "Tab" key down while booting into Clonezilla and pressed it over and over again repeatedly and I am not able to see the "white" text to show up.

Oh while, thanks again.

I take it all back. Once I got home and tried it the way I was doing it, it didn't work on the PC with RAID drives. Back to square one.

Why won't the pressing of the Tab key work for me?

Finsfree,

This is my Clonezilla boot screen on the attached screenshot.

There in the middle in yellow is the instruction:

Press [Tab] to edit options.

Pressing Tab once then brings up the boot screen with white lettering as per my previous screenshot.

Try letting Clonezilla boot to the main screen before pressing Tab.

It worked either way for me.

A thought has just occurred.

If you are using UEFI boot, then I think you need to press the e key instead of Tab and use the arrow keys to navigate to the end of the boot parameter text.

Type nodmraid and then press Enter.

You did mention the e key earlier.

Finsfree,

If none of the above works, you could try using one of the other Clonezilla versions (alternative stable, alternative testing or testing).

Would it matter if the PC is using an AMD and Intel CPU?

The computer with the RAID drives has an AMD processor.
