cloginrc issue need to change password only on routers
 

I’m new to Linux and Rancid and also taking over for the only network analyst who left the company.

I would like to know in the cloginrc file we have just one username and password created with a wild card, it’s the same as username and password used for all our routers.

I’ve been asked to change passwords only not the login usernameon the 40 switches/routers one by one. I’ve only changed the password on the first router and when I did we rec’d an error that the router hasn’t check back in for over 24 hours.

This is the cloginrc file

add user * t1ger!!
add password * t1ony!!

Any help would be appreciated it will take me about 2 weeks to change all the passwords on our devices.
