clipboard in linux
 
i need to take print screen so i gave alt+prtscr.
it goes to clipboard now i need to find clip board,
so where is the clipboard in linux to view the file.
thanks........

are you just thinking that the same processes will work in Linux as they do in Windows??

use a screen capture program like the gimp or xwd. then work from that.

i don't understand why you want to "find" the clipboard? what does that mean??? if there's somethign suitable to paste, then you will be able to do so.

but read some keyboard shortcuts at www.faqs.org that alt+prtscr
will make printscreen.
also alt+ctrl+prtscr will make desktop printscreen that will go to clipboard.
is that wrong or true than what meant clipboard...

that is dependent on your window manager / desktop environment. i *believe* that KDE provides a similar functionality, but i do not know for sure.
