client not connecting after the server restart
 
Hi,

I have problem with the server,when i restart my server client is still running it is not able to connect to client.

i want my client to connect to server after the server restart.

please help me in solving this.

well if you've restarted the server, then it's an issue on the server. Not a networking question, moved to Linux - Newbie.

You also need to tell us what this "server" is. You can server hundreds of thousands of different things, the word "server" means very very little here. is this a web server? mail? ssh?

I would restart the client. Leave the client turned off for a few minutes to clear any messed up connection requests on the server. I always shut down all clients before shutting down a server.

All clients? We've not established what this server even is yet. Have you just asked him to reboot 20,000 pcs browsing a website he runs? You've given some very specific advice when we've no idea what he's talking about yet. May well not be for the best.
