Clearpart --all and --drives clarification
The documentation for clearpart seems to be rather vague.
If i want to clear all the partitions on sda what is the correct way to do that?
clearpart --all --drives=sda
Since --all — Erases all partitions from the system.
--drives= — Specifies which drives to clear partitions from.
Then this example given by RHEL seems redundant by using --all and --drives.
For example, the following clears all the partitions on the first two drives on the primary IDE controller:
clearpart --drives=hda,hdb --all
Can anyone explain this better?
