Clearing the terminal

After using the terminal for doing something it looks like a mess and I don't want to look at what I did anymore . Is there a way to clear it(without reopening the terminal or pushing enter until its clear)?

Thanks in advance!

try clear .. or if you are used to dos try alias cls=clear followed by a enter key. Then you can type cls to clear as in ms-dos ...or Ctrl+L as another frend said.
