"clear" command not found Fedora 23

I have been using Fedora 23 for 4 months so far and only encountered this problem recently. I can't be specific since I don't type "clear" everyday.

Here is the issue:

emerson:~$ clear
bash: clear: command not found...
Install package 'ncurses' to provide command 'clear'? [N/y] y

* Waiting in queue... Failed to install packages: ncurses-5.9-21.20150214.fc23.x86_64 is already installed

emerson:~$ clear
bash: clear: command not found...
Install package 'ncurses' to provide command 'clear'? [N/y] y

* Waiting in queue... Failed to install packages: ncurses-5.9-21.20150214.fc23.x86_64 is already installed

This cycle repeats and I haven't found any other posts covering this topic yet.

Thanks for the help.

Well, it does correctly see that ncurses package should give you this command, so there must be something wrong with ncurses.

I'd try

Code:
dnf clean all
dnf upgrade
And if that doesn't fix it (probably won't), then
Code:
dnf reinstall ncurses

The reinstall did it. Thanks so much. I should have tried that, but I guess i figured the 'y' to install would take care of it for some reason.

Looks like the correct version of ncurses is installed. What does this return (should be /usr/bin/clear)
Code:
file $(which clear)
d'oh, too late ...

I was going to suggest trying the "tput clear" form, which is all the program clear does.
