Thumbs down cleanload of 9.10 on hp 8040dv laptop,no wireless


loaded bw3nand light comes on and I am able to select my conectiom but no connection appears,

You need driver for Broadcom Wireless, can't tell wich one. You might need to use ndis-wrapper to install Windows version of drivers on Ubuntu.

Take a look at this post, or search this forums or google for ndiswrapper.
