Cleaning Mail Box
 
Hello,

in our vps running webhosting service have a client whos account had affected by spam in the past so much. now the spamming is under controlled. but his mailbox is taking 1.8gb while the hosting quota is 2.gb. now i am in need of clearning his mailbox by deleting spam messages.

now i am in var/spool/mail folder and i can see his mail box file myclient

but if i enter #cat myclient it does not show anything.

so how do i clean this mail box?

It depends on how the user is processing mail. It is entirely possible that the file is empty - and the mail messages are stored by the users mail handler in the users account.
