Clean install of RedHat9 and up2date does not work

up2date does not work after a clean install of redhat 9.

I can remember someone telling me to type somestuff in my console window, and it worked fine after that. It had something to do with downloading a file off the internet and replaceing it.

any ideas?/

Yeah you have to update the Red Hat update program. Although, I thought they stopped providing support for that. You might search Red Hat's site and see if you can find it and download it.

try yum to update it
/linux.duke.edu/projects/yum/

it works, then you can try up2date again

or i think there is a command to 'update up2date'
