Claws mail 3.7.8 does not support ssl connection
 

I had claws mail 3.7.6 installed with mint 10 and all was well. I use gmail with ssl and was no problem. I wanted to download some add-ons for claws, but most were only compatible with version 3.7.8, so I downloaded and installed 3.7.8 only to find that it doesn't support ssl connection, so I can't use it for my gmail account. How do I get around this problem? Any help is welcome.

Did you compiled with ssl support?

I compiled it using ./configure, make and make install. When I came to set-up the account, there is no option to set ssl, ttl, nothing. When I try to connect to my I.P it says that this version of claws does not support ssl.

This connection is configured to be secured using SSL, but SSL is not available in this build of Claws Mail.

Do you want to continue connecting to this server? The communication would not be secure.
