clamav installation error
 

Hello there is anyone deal with this problem before to give me a litle help? I cannot understand what is this mssg meaning.


The pre mentioned message appeared while i was trying to install the software which package and clamav.SlackBuild where downloaded from SlackBuilds.org

don't really follow what you don't understand. in order to run whatever script you are trying to run you need to create a group called "clamav" which is exactly hwat the command they give you is for.

acid_kewpie, I am a Linux beginner actually i am running Linux 4 days now.

Thank you for answering, but i honestly did not understand what to create and how.
Could you be more analytic or just pass me a link for further reading on that?

What do you mean you are running Linux 4? Are you using Slackware or not?

What it's telling you is as root, to run the command given, so start a terminal session if you are in grapical mode, the n type

su -
<root's password in response to prompt>
groupadd -g 210 clamav

Then keep doing what you were doing

I an on Linux OS for four days and yes i run Slackware 12.0
