cifs problem - Help
Hi, Guys

Please help - I'm tryng to mount a share that sits on my ubuntu 6.06 'server'
I use the command sudo mount-a and get the following result:

mount: block device // is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: cannot mount block device // read-only

my fstab on my client reads:

// /mnt/500 cifs username=*******,password=*******,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777

I've just reinstalled Ubuntu 6.06 on my server ( after an os h/drive failure. I'm not sure of the packages I need to get this running. I'm able to browse the source folder & files on the server. I did do a apt-get install samba Am I missing something?
