I was using Mandrake and formated and when to Redhat 9.1 (just for a change). My probem is that I prefere KDE over Gnome. Somehow Gnome became my default GUI. How do I change it to use KDE instead?

Isn't it listed in the Gnome Control Center in the window manager? If you can't find it, open an x terminal and try typing:

switchdesk kde

Not sure if red hat 9 is like red hat 8, but on red hat 8, at the login screen, there is a selection called 'Session' at the bottom of the screen. That's where you can select gnome or kde or windowmaker, etc. Once selected, a dialogue pops up and asks if you want to make that the default.
