Choosing a laptop

Im looking to get the smallest portable laptop I can, that's fully compatible. I like the X1 carbon by Lenovo, but that's way out of my price range. I'm reading that some chromebooks, depending on the hardware, are easily compatible.

I currently have a Lenovo t410 which is good, but a bit clunky. Also have an asus eee PC that has lubuntu on it, but it's too damn slow.

Anyone use a chromebook, or have another suggestion?

The Lenovo Chromebook N20p has a good price I think.

it's similar to your eee pc, but there have been vast differences in performance, so it might still be much more powerful:
